Location: Whitegrove Library & other Bracknell branches
Contract: Permanent | Part-Time (28.5 hours/week)
Salary: £24,733 – £25,889 FTE (£19,051 – £19,941 pro-rata)
Additional Pay: Enhanced Saturday pay

About the Role

Bracknell Forest Council is hiring a Library Assistant to help shape its evolving library service into a vibrant community hub. Based primarily at Whitegrove Library, you’ll work across multiple branches, supporting customers, promoting library resources, and helping deliver events and digital services.

Key Responsibilities

Provide front-line customer service and support ICT use
Assist with issuing, returning, and renewing library items
Create engaging displays and promote library stock
Help organize and run events for all age groups
Support and train library volunteers
Travel between branches and work every Saturday (with a weekday off)

Rota Overview
