Program Overview
The Yale Emerging Climate Leaders Fellowship is a prestigious, fully funded international leadership program designed for mid-career professionals committed to advancing clean energy and climate solutions. Hosted by Yale University’s Jackson School of Global Affairs, the fellowship includes:
- A one-week residential orientation at Yale (February 16–20, 2026)
- Remote learning journeys with global experts (March–June 2026)
- A one-week closing residency in Paris (June 15–19, 2026)
The program fosters cross-sector collaboration, technical skill-building, and global networking among climate leaders from the Global South.
Financial Coverage
All expenses are covered, including:
- Round-trip airfare to Yale University and Paris
- Accommodation in both locations
- Airport transfers
- Daily living allowance during in-person sessions
- No application or participation fees
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be a national of a country in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, or Latin America/the Caribbean
- Be fluent in English
- Have 5–10 years of professional experience with notable achievements
- Be available for full participation in both in-person and remote components
- Come from diverse sectors such as:
- Public service
- Energy and environment
- Finance and entrepreneurship
- Journalism and education
- Law, policy, and civil society
There is no age limit, but the program targets emerging leaders with demonstrated impact and potential.
