About the Role

A leading FinTech company is searching for a visionary Enterprise Architect to lead the transformation of their systems architecture. You’ll define and implement future-proof, scalable, and modular infrastructure aligned with the company's business goals—especially focusing on multi-region scalability and efficiency.

This is a key leadership role, collaborating directly with development teams and stakeholders to create architectural standards and drive modernization efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead the Target Architecture Vision and roadmap (modularity, scalability, multi-jurisdictional).
• Set and enforce architecture principles, standards, and non-functional requirements (NFRs).
• Oversee technical debt reduction (eliminate redundancy, consolidate vendor systems).
• Lead the Data Architecture Strategy for governance, compliance, and performance.
• Facilitate architecture reviews and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with SMEs and cross-functional teams to bridge current and target architecture.
• Align architecture with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Present architecture strategies to leadership; guide and mentor tech leads.
• Promote a culture of architectural excellence.

Success Milestones

• “As Is” architecture fully documented with service inventory
• Target architecture and roadmap developed and adopted in major initiatives
• Major technical debt projects completed
• NFR standards enforced across all new services
• Data Strategy implemented with at least one major data project launched

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 5+ years as Enterprise, Chief, or Principal Architect OR 8+ years in architecture-focused roles
• Hands-on background in software engineering and system design
• Strong experience with:
  • Java or similar enterprise language
  • PostgreSQL, Oracle DB (design & optimization)
  • AWS Cloud architecture and services
  • Data Architecture and distributed systems
• Proven leadership in architecture governance, technical debt reduction, and roadmap creation
• Skilled communicator with strong stakeholder management
• Fluent in English (B2+)

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

• FinTech industry experience
• Familiarity with multi-jurisdictional compliance
• Experience with:
  • Camunda BPM, Java EE, Oracle PL/SQL
  • Core Banking Systems, especially B2
