About the Role
Walsingham Support is hiring a proactive and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support our regional HR operations. This remote role offers the chance to develop within a values-driven charity, with flexibility and strong professional development support including fully funded CIPD qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- First point of contact for HR queries across assigned regions
- Input payroll data and resolve payroll issues
- Administer employee lifecycle (onboarding, offboarding, transfers)
- Conduct and document exit interviews
- Manage long-service awards and recognitions
- Maintain DBS/Visa compliance records
- Administer employee contracts, maternity letters, and amendments
- Build positive relationships with managers and stakeholders
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate HR records
- Calculate annual leave entitlements
Essential Skills
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Confident communicator (written and verbal)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with Excel (data entry, basic analysis)
- Ability to manage multiple HR tasks efficiently
- Friendly and professional approach
- Problem-solving mindset
