About the Role

Walsingham Support is hiring a proactive and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support our regional HR operations. This remote role offers the chance to develop within a values-driven charity, with flexibility and strong professional development support including fully funded CIPD qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • First point of contact for HR queries across assigned regions
  • Input payroll data and resolve payroll issues
  • Administer employee lifecycle (onboarding, offboarding, transfers)
  • Conduct and document exit interviews
  • Manage long-service awards and recognitions
  • Maintain DBS/Visa compliance records
  • Administer employee contracts, maternity letters, and amendments
  • Build positive relationships with managers and stakeholders
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate HR records
  • Calculate annual leave entitlements

Essential Skills

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Confident communicator (written and verbal)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency with Excel (data entry, basic analysis)
  • Ability to manage multiple HR tasks efficiently
  • Friendly and professional approach
  • Problem-solving mindset
