About the Role

TQL Mexico is hiring a Carrier Development Representative to establish and grow cross-border & intra-Mexico carrier relationships. The role is based in Monterrey, MX, but requires relocation to San Antonio, TX for a 6-month training program before returning to Monterrey to help launch a new office.

This role involves sourcing carriers, improving service levels, managing disputes, and traveling up to 75% to meet with regional carriers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop & qualify new cross-border & intra-Mexico carriers
• Analyze KPIs to evaluate carrier performance
• Enhance service levels & implement new carrier initiatives
• Assist in carrier onboarding & relationship management
• Travel up to 75% for carrier meetings & industry trade shows
• Handle carrier disputes, freight claims, & accounting needs
• Research market trends to recommend process efficiencies
• Maintain regular touchpoints with carriers to ensure service expectations are met
• Monitor customer capacity and inform stakeholders of industry changes

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in Mexico carrier development or sales
• Fluent in Spanish & English
• Strong carrier rate negotiation skills
• Ability to travel up to 75% across Mexico
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, & Excel
• Experience in fast-paced, high-priority environments
• Availability to work in a 24/7/365 logistics setting

Training Details

• Relocation to San Antonio, TX for a 6-month training program
