 Role Overview

As the Receptionist/Administrator, you will serve as the "shop window" of the surgery, providing a warm and professional welcome to patients and visitors. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing patient appointments and inquiries efficiently.
  • Updating records with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Supporting the medical team with administrative tasks.
  • Ensuring compliance with QOF (Quality and Outcomes Framework) and CQC (Care Quality Commission) standards.

 

This role demands excellent customer service skills, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm and approachable in a busy environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients, directing them to the appropriate healthcare professional. 
  • Handle inquiries via phone and in person, projecting a courteous and friendly demeanor. 
  • Maintain accurate records using up-to-date templates and practice policies. 
  • Provide general support to the practice team.
