The Lagos State Government has officially commenced the e-registration and payment process for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). This initiative, managed by the Lagos State Examinations Board, is designed to streamline the registration process and eliminate the need for physical presence at the board’s office.
According to the Director of the Examinations Board, Mr. Orunsolu Adebayo, schools will be required to use a newly issued code for registration. The process is divided into different categories based on the type of school:
Special Provisions for Candidates with Disabilities
The board has advised schools with visually impaired students or albino candidates to notify them in writing. This will allow for adequate preparations to accommodate their needs during the examination.
The Lagos State Examinations Board has urged all schools to adhere strictly to the registration guidelines and deadlines. Schools that fail to meet the April 26 deadline may be subject to additional penalties. Further details on payments and other registration procedures will be communicated through Zonal Officers.
This move aligns with the state government’s vision of digital transformation in education, ensuring a seamless registration experience for all stakeholders.
