Financial Coverage

• Annual stipend: ¥1,000,000 (after arrival in Japan)
• Full tuition and entrance fee waiver (application fee still required)
• Accommodation support: Covers initial and monthly rent for TCU-designated dormitories
  • Students are responsible only for utilities, cleaning, and repair costs

Eligible Graduate Schools

Applicants must be enrolled in a Master’s program at TCU with the intention to continue into one of the following doctoral tracks:

• Graduate School of Integrative Science and Engineering
• Graduate School of Environmental and Information Studies

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, applicants must:

• Have completed 16 years of formal education
• Be within two years of earning a bachelor’s degree
• Rank in the top 10% academically at a university that is also in their country’s top 10%
• Provide a recommendation letter from their university president
• Not be receiving any other scholarships
• Be willing to enroll in both Master’s and Doctoral programs at TCU

   • Describe your intended field of study
   • TCU will help match you with a potential supervisor
   • Supervisor approval is required to proceed

2. Submit Full Application

   • Includes Forms A & C, academic transcripts, and recommendation letter
   • Deadline: 2 October 2025 (23:59 JST)

3. Apply Separately for Graduate Admission

   • Scholarship application is independent of university admission
   • Admission details will be shared with shortlisted candidates
