The CEDPS Academic Excellence Scholarship 2025/26 is offered by the College of Engineering, Design & Physical Sciences (CEDPS) at Brunel University London, UK. Benefits
The scholarship offers financial support as follows:
- £2,000 per year for up to three years for full-time students.
- For sandwich courses, the scholarship is available for three years, excluding the placement year.
- Payments are made in three installments per year:
- 12 December 2025
- 27 February 2026
- 16 May 2026
- Payments are deposited directly into a UK bank account (accurate bank details required).
- Scholarship placed on hold during the placement year and reinstated upon return to study.
- To retain the scholarship, students must maintain an Upper Second Class (2:1) profile each year.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must:
- Hold an unconditional firm offer for a full-time undergraduate course within CEDPS at Brunel University London (integrated Master’s programs are included; foundation courses are excluded).
- Be starting an FHEQ Level 4 (Year 1) program in the 2025/2026 academic year.
- Meet one of the following academic requirements:
- A Levels: AAB or above.
- International Baccalaureate Diploma: 33 points or above.
- BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma: DDD or above.
- Scottish Advanced Highers: AAB or above.
- Irish Leaving Certificate: H2, H2, H2, H3, H3.
Only students commencing their studies in 2025 are eligible (deferred entries will be reconsidered in the actual year of commencement).
Application Procedure
There is no need for a separate application. Eligible students are automatically considered based on their undergraduate application through UCAS.
Important Dates:
- Applications assessed starting July 2025.
- Final decisions will be made by the Scholarship Allocation Panel by late September 2025.
Successful applicants will be notified via email.
Considerations:
- Students entering through UCAS Clearing will also be considered, provided they update their information with the Student Loans Company (SLC) promptly.
- Foundation year, Year 2 or 3 entries, and progression from Brunel Pathway College (BPC) are not eligible.
- Students can receive only one scholarship or bursary per year. If eligible for multiple awards, the higher-value award will be granted.
- Scholarship eligibility is subject to academic performance, course status, and attendance mode.
