Role Overview
Cobalt Health is seeking a Bookings Assistant to join its patient-facing team. You’ll be the first point of contact for patients and referrers, helping book diagnostic imaging appointments (MRI, CT, PET/CT, ultrasound, X-ray) and providing compassionate, efficient service.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and assess referral documentation
- Book appointments using the Soliton Patient Administration System (PAS)
- Handle phone and email inquiries with empathy and professionalism
- Print and dispatch correspondence to patients and healthcare professionals
- Conduct patient safety screening and record clinical information
- Support reception duties and Saturday/late-night clinic rotations
- Liaise with NHS and private sector professionals to coordinate appointments
- Maintain confidentiality and data protection standards
Skills & Qualifications
Essential:
- Minimum 5 GCSEs Grade A–C, including English and Maths
- Strong written and spoken English
- Intermediate computer skills and IT literacy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain a pleasant working atmosphere
- Meticulous attention to detail and time management
- Commitment to confidentiality and professional integrity
Desirable:
- ECDL or equivalent
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Experience with Carestream Radiology Information System
- Previous experience in healthcare or busy reception/office environments
