Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the European Youth Event 2025, applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Must be between 18 and 30 years old.
- Must be a citizen of one of the 27 EU member states.
- Winners must commit to travelling to Strasbourg and spending three nights at the event.
- Must submit an Instagram reel showcasing priorities, which could be a personal moment or an issue of importance.
- The video must be uploaded between April 11 and April 30, 2025, by midnight CET.
- Official competition audio must be used without modifications.
- If the Instagram profile is private, applicants must send a direct message to @ep_eye with the video.
- Video content must be relevant and comply with copyright ownership requirements.
Applicants who have already registered for EYE2025 cannot apply via the competition.
Application Process
Follow these steps to apply for the European Youth Event 2025:
- Create an Instagram reel showcasing a moment in your life or a social issue that matters to you.
- Use the official competition audio when creating your video.
- Upload the reel between April 11 and April 30, 2025, on Instagram.
- Follow @ep_eye and @europeanparliament on Instagram.
- Use the hashtag #EYEcompetition in your post to be eligible.
- Check your Instagram Direct Messages, as organizers will notify winners through messages.
Selection Process and Event Invitation
Once the competition ends, a jury will select six winners based on:
- Originality of the video content
- Engagement from viewers
- Alignment with EYE values, including democracy, activism, innovation, and youth leadership
The six winners will receive an exclusive invitation from the European Parliament, covering travel and accommodation expenses for the event on June 13–14, 2025.
