African Economic Scholars Program (AESP) – Applications for 2025 Cohort Open Now!

Are you a final-year student or recent graduate from Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, or South Africa with a background in economics, political science, international relations, or related fields? Are you passionate about policymaking and eager to develop the skills needed to become a future leader in economic policy? If so, the African Economic Scholars Program (AESP) is the perfect opportunity for you!

 

 About the Program

The AESP is designed for final-year undergraduates or recent graduates from Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, or South Africa with a background in economics, political science, international relations, or related disciplines. The program provides scholars with a strong foundation in policymaking, preparing them for impactful careers in governance, advocacy, and economic development.

 

Participants in the program will engage in:

  •  A two-month intensive training on research, policymaking, personal and professional development
  •  A capstone project, with the opportunity for publication
  •  Internship placements with leading think tanks for top-performing scholars, offering hands-on experience in policy and advocacy
