Position Details  

  •  Role: Project Officer  
  •  Salary: £26,000 per year  
  •  Job Type: FullTime  
  •  Hours: 37.5 hours per week (9:00 am – 5:30 pm)  
  •  Pension: 5% of salary paid by the organisation  
  •  Contract: Initial 12-month contract with potential for extension  
  •  Annual Leave: 25 days, plus 8 public holidays  
  •  Location: Remote  
  •  Deadline: 27 April 2025, 11:59 pm  

 

Key Responsibilities  

As a project officer, you will: 

  • Collect and manage data: Record and summarize both qualitative and quantitative information from frontline projects.  
  • Support funding reports: Assist in reporting project outcomes and impacts to funders.  
  • Resource development: Help create practices, resources, and events.  
  • Grant administration: Work with the finance officer to manage grant paperwork, including agreements and due diligence.  
  • Support frontline projects: Attend partner meetings (online and in person) to provide updates and assistance.  
  • Event organization: Assist in planning both virtual and physical meetings and events.  
  • Deliver standalone projects: Facilitate volunteering programs and organize visits for corporate partners, funders, and stakeholders.  
  • Collaborate with other Feeding Britain team members to align activities with strategic objectives.

 

Person Specification  

Essential Skills & Traits: 

  •  Excellent organization and attention to detail.  
  •  Ability to manage competing priorities.  
  •  Strong communication skills (written and verbal).  
  •  Proficient in working with data and spreadsheets.  
  •  Independent, motivated, and able to use initiative efficiently.  
  •  Confident with IT, especially Microsoft and Google tools.  
  •  Willingness to travel across the UK (approx. one day per week).  
  •  Commitment to Feeding Britain’s vision and priorities.  

 

Desirable Experience: 

  •  Previous work in a project-based role.  
  •  Experience in the food insecurity sector or with a network organization.  
  •  Some familiarity with data analysis.
