African Economic Scholars Program (AESP) – Applications for 2025 Cohort Open Now!

Are you a final-year student or recent graduate from Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, or South Africa with a background in economics, political science, international relations, or related fields? If so, the African Economic Scholars Program (AESP) is the perfect opportunity for you!

About the Program

The AESP is designed for final-year undergraduates or recent graduates from Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, or South Africa with a background in economics, political science, international relations, or related disciplines. The program provides scholars with a strong foundation in policymaking, preparing them for impactful careers in governance, advocacy, and economic development.

Participants in the program will engage in:

  • A two-month intensive training on research, policymaking, personal and professional development
  • A capstone project, with the opportunity for publication
  • Internship placements with leading think tanks for top-performing scholars, offering hands-on experience in policy and advocacy
