About the Program

The AESP is designed for final-year undergraduates or recent graduates from Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, or South Africa with a background in economics, political science, international relations, or related disciplines. The program provides scholars with a strong foundation in policymaking, preparing them for impactful careers in governance, advocacy, and economic development.

Participants in the program will engage in:

  • A two-month intensive training on research, policymaking, personal and professional development
  • A capstone project, with the opportunity for publication
  • Internship placements with leading think tanks for top-performing scholars, offering hands-on experience in policy and advocacy
