Role Overview
charity: water UK is seeking a creative and proactive Social Media Intern to help grow its newly launched UK Instagram channel and amplify its mission to solve the global water crisis. You’ll work closely with the Brand Partnerships and Marketing Manager and external creative partners to craft compelling content and build a vibrant online community.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the UK organic social media strategy
- Create and post engaging content for Instagram (Reels, Stories, carousels)
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to brainstorm fresh ideas
- Monitor engagement and assist with community growth
- Maintain content calendars and assist with performance reporting
- Participate in occasional in-person events across the UK
Required Skills & Experience
- Passion for social media and digital storytelling
- Experience using Canva or similar design tools
- Demonstrated ability to manage social media accounts
- Strong attention to detail and design instinct
- Self-starter with excellent communication skills
- Reliable internet and quiet remote workspace
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with Sprout Social or other scheduling tools
- Experience with Google Workspace and Mac
- Ability to interpret basic analytics
- Exposure to marketing research or data collection
